Veterans Week: ALVS Chili Cook Off & Tailgate

Nov. 7th: Veterans Week ALVS Tailgate & Chili Cookoff Are you a CSU Ram? Do you like to have fun? Can you cook? Are you competitive? Do you think you could make a better chili than our Director?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you should join us at the Veterans Week Chili Cook-Off Tailgate on Saturday, November 7, 2026! This year’s event is extra special—it’s the Snow Game! (That’s right, there’ll be fake snow!)

The Tailgate will open at 1:00 PM in the IM Fields. Chili should arrive by the start of the event, and judging will begin shortly after. Chili will be available for folks attending the tailgate until we run out or until kickoff for the game against the University of Nevada, Las Vegas at Canvas Stadium.

In honor of Veterans Day, which occurs on November 11th, CSU’s Adult Learner & Veteran Services Office has dedicated November 7th to 13th, 2026, to our CSU Veterans. During this week, we will honor and thank all military personnel who served the United States with a special appreciation for the CSU Veterans in our staff, faculty, student body, and alumni.
