Start your spinning journey with this introductory class for absolute beginners! You will learn about how wool fiber becomes yarn by spinning and plying on a traditional wooden drop spindle.

All materials are provided . Spinning kits and additional fiber will also be available for sale.

This class is perfect for anyone who is curious about making their own yarn! Some hand dexterity is required. Class can be done sitting or standing.

Hannah Hostak, owner of Hanny Handcrafted , is a wool and fiber nerd who enjoys exploring the endless possibilities that fiber has to offer. Hannah is a gardener who grows and preserves plants for natural dyeing. In addition to being a member of the Northern Colorado Weavers guild, she has studied fiber arts at the John C Campbell Folk School, is a student of grandmother youtube, and attends classes from fiber artists she admires to continue improving her skills. Hannah has received awards for her yarns and fiber arts from the Estes Park Wool Market and the Larimer County Fair.

Each Radish class offers one solidarity ticket at a greatly reduced rate, in order to offer greater financial accessibility. This ticket is for Black/Indigenous/PeopleOfColor folks, solo parents, folks with medical debt, etc. No questions asked. Limit to one solidarity ticket per month- because if someone is able to purchase multiple solidarity tickets per month, they should be consolidating that into one full price ticket.

All workshop purchases are subject to our refund policy: a 50% refund is available until 48 hours before workshop. No refund is available within 48 hours of workshop start time. If a workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified 24 hours before via email.
