About this event
November Spice of the Month: Ground Fenugreek
Earthy, nutty, and slightly sweet, ground fenugreek is a staple in many Indian, Middle Eastern, and North African spice blends. While strong on its own, when used in moderation, fenugreek brings warmth and subtle maple notes to both curries and vegetable dishes. This month’s kit features recipes that showcase its versatility, along with book recommendations that explore flavor, family, and cultural connection.
About the Program
The Spice of the Month is a year-long journey through global flavors, where each month features a different spice, blend, or herb. Library patrons can sign up to receive a free “take-and-make” kit, including:
A small packet of the featured spice (enough for two recipes). Simple recipe cards to inspire your cooking. A brief history and cultural context of the spice. Recommended books for further exploration.
Registration is preferred. Kits will be available while supplies last, registration secures a kit for you for pick up at LINC Library.
