Today, the Santa Fe Arts District hosted Start Believing Day to encourage community members to support survivors of sexual assault by believing their accounts.
The event seeks to raise awareness and change local attitudes.
On June 7, 2025, Colorado State University will host Ollie’s Ride for Change to honor 10-year-old Oliver Stratton and rally against distracted driving—this all-day event will feature a Pokémon-themed bike parade, a distracted driving expo, and legislative advocacy led by his mother Clarissa Stratton.
🚧 Accidents
A house fire in Fort Collins left one person hospitalized—fire officials are investigating the cause.
A devastating fire broke out early Tuesday morning in a manufactured home on East Harmony Road in Fort Collins that displaced a family, claimed the life of a pet dog, and damaged at least three vehicles—emergency crews arrived at 12:32 a.m. and a fire investigator is examining the cause.
Early Wednesday morning a fire destroyed a mobile home on the 2500 block of East Harmony Road and spread to a second unit, injuring one person, killing a dog, and damaging three vehicles — firefighters remained until 3:30 a.m. to clear hot spots.
🎓 Education
CSU confirmed at an April 1 meeting that six international student visas were revoked—some students had already left while one remained, and officials said the decision was made after discussions with families and guidance from the Office of International Programs.
🌲 Environment
Fort Collins yardwaste collection began April 1 and will run until Nov 30—residents who have not opted out may fill their green bin on their regular trash day while those choosing a private hauler will pay an opt-out fee.
🏈 Sports
Country music stars Tim McGraw and Jon Pardi will headline the PBR Best of the West event at CSU's Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins on July 21–22.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on April 16 with prices starting at $55 for July 21 and $30 for July 22, and the event will feature bull riding competitions.
