Fort Collins' Urban Renewal Authority is set to take over the El Palomino site
The Good Day Fort Collins team
If you drive North College Avenue, the former El Palomino Motel is about to change hands. The Fort Collins Urban Renewal Authority is expected to take possession in early November, using what's a rare legal move: eminent domain.
An Oct. 2 order by District Court Judge Kara E. Clark lets the URA take immediate possession once it makes an $800,000 deposit to owner Globok LLC.
