  • Breckenridge Brewery held its Valentine-themed drag bingo on Feb. 11 with host Krisa Gonna-L’Whor and performers Axel Lexa and Zimmorah Mei in a celebration of queer, Black, and Latin American cultures (a festive community event ahead of Valentine’s Day).  Colorado State University

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The CSU senate met on Feb. 11 — new senators addressed student concerns about unequal commencement experiences in 2026 ceremonies planned at three locations after a survey showed 80% felt marginalized. They approved funding for a campus celebration bill and will reconvene on Feb. 18.  Colorado State University
  • CSU entomologists debated insect romance during a Ram Talks event at the Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center on Feb. 11. They explained insect courtship behaviors (including chemical signals and displays) while sharing how their passion for entomology has shaped their lives.  Colorado State University

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Feb. 11 at Avogadro’s Number, community members met with CSU experts who said that this season’s low snowpack is reducing water levels and could affect agriculture, tourism, and summer recreation—though past years hint that future winters might bring more snow.  Colorado State University

  • CSU rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half to beat Wyoming 79-68 at Moby Arena on Feb. 14 — a key Border War victory. Jase Butler led with a career-high 18 points and six assists to secure the win.  The Coloradoan
  • CSU men’s lacrosse adds transfers (Cover, Marsh, Menard, Treadwell) as they gear up for their spring season starting Feb. 20 in Santa Clara.
