CULTURE NEWS

  • Susan Sternlieb’s pottery exhibit “A Neighborhood for Tough Times” has been on display at CSU's Directions Gallery (Visual Arts Building) since Feb. 9 and will remain open until March 4, showcasing ceramic sculptures, handmade rugs, and encaustic paintings that explore the spirit of neighborhood unity.  Colorado State University
  • Lincoln Center Art Gallery will join Colorado’s Month of Printmaking by hosting Under Pressure: 2026 National Printmaking Exhibition from March 6 – April 24. The free gallery reception on March 7, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. will feature guest juror Johnny Plastini assessing 41 selected artworks at 417 W. Magnolia St.  City of Fort Collins

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Colorado taxes Social Security payments by age and income. Residents 65 and older are not taxed and those under 65 can subtract up to $20,000, while people 55 to 64 with lower incomes avoid taxes under new rules effective for the 2025 tax year.  The Coloradoan

  • The U.S. Food and Drug Administration classified over 20,000 peanut butter items as recalled in Colorado after Ventura Foods found blue plastic fragments in a manufacturing filter.
