ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A small grass fire near Gateway Natural Area was quickly contained on Tuesday after community members reported it and crews (Poudre Fire Authority and Phantom Canyon wildland) used water, hand tools and a chainsaw to secure the area amid high winds and dry fuels, preventing injuries and damage.  North Forty News

  • A 2024 report found that much tourist spending leaves local communities, so the Colorado Tourism Office launched a Destination Stewardship Strategic Plan to curb leakage and boost conservation (experts from CSU emphasize strong local governance).  Colorado State University
