- ➤ On Feb. 20, the Museum of Discovery held a free presentation and archive tour (changed from a walking tour due to cold weather) to honor Black history in Fort Collins. The event highlighted figures including Hattie McDaniel, Mattie Lyle and the Birdwhistle family. Colorado State University
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The ASCSU’s Legislative Strategic Advisory Board meets Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. to review proposals affecting CSU, including a Senate bill that could require the university to follow Fort Collins noise and sign rules, and members represent over 30,000 students. Colorado State University
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After a key investor withdrew, Northern Water paused the Glade Reservoir project slated to begin early 2026 to reassess water supply plans amid rising costs and quality worries; officials expect to finalize revised participation early in 2026 and roll out a new plan for 2027 (official review in progress). HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ CSU hosted a blood drive Feb. 16-18 in partnership with UCHealth at the Translational Medical Institute (with a blood bus parked outside) and the Lory Student Center, as donated blood supported local hospitals in Northern Colorado. Colorado State University

- ➤ Alex Kristoff, known as Ram Man for his distinct ram horns at CSU games, has become a campus icon who leads the Disability Club and supports school spirit. The student plans to continue living in Fort Collins after graduating this May. Colorado State University
- ➤ Colorado State men’s basketball improved its season with an 83-74 win over San Diego State Saturday at Moby Arena, marking its fifth win in a row.
