  • The Other Side Academy opened its fifth location in an old historic house in City Park West to offer housing, treatment, and work opportunities for people with addiction and incarceration challenges. The program—funded solely by its furniture store and moving company—will serve 48 additional participants and is reported to save taxpayers more than $2 million each year.  CBS Colorado

  • Colorado car dealerships are working to avoid tariff impacts on consumers by coordinating with industry groups and launching lobbying efforts—these actions aim to shield customers from higher costs imposed by international policies.  CBS Colorado

  • The Poudre Fire Authority released its new Community Wildfire Protection Plan today to help residents in Northern Colorado prepare for wildfires near forests and canyons. The plan offers custom risk maps, fuel reduction strategies, and home hardening tips developed with local partners (PFA) and includes community feedback (CWPP).  North Forty News
  • The City of Fort Collins Forestry Division will provide free wood mulch to residents on Saturday, April 19 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1380 Hoffman Mill Road. City personnel will load the mulch with a front-end loader+visitors must remain in their vehicles, use northbound Lemay Avenue for entry, and note the offer is not available to commercial businesses.  City of Fort Collins

  • The Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar scored his 30th goal on April 3, 2025 plus he became the first NHL defenseman in 16 years to reach that mark by scoring a power-play goal with 38 seconds left in the second period against the Columbus Blue Jackets, helping the team win 7-3 and clinch a playoff berth.  CBS Colorado
