  • Families who have been helped by Raise the Future gathered at Boondocks on Wednesday as part of A Day for Wednesday's Child—sharing personal stories that highlighted the nonprofit’s work to aid children in foster care. The event underscored community support for local families.  CBS Colorado

  • Allyn Atadero, father of Jaryd Atadero—whose disappearance sparked the largest search for a missing child in Larimer County—died on April 15 at age 67 following complications from his cancer recovery. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Starting May 7, the TSA will require Real ID cards to fly, and most Colorado licenses issued or renewed since 2013 show a star. Travelers should check their cards to see if they meet the new federal standards.  The Coloradoan
  • Today, the Colorado Senate Judiciary Committee meets to consider a bill that will increase penalties when careless driving causes serious injury or death. Lawmakers are expected to debate tougher charges that aim to curb dangerous driving.  CBS Colorado
  • On April 16, the House unanimously passed bipartisan House Bill 25-1275 (65-0) in response to a scandal involving a former CBI DNA analyst accused of mishandling tests in over 800 cases. The law will require crime lab workers to report misconduct, notify victims and defendants if errors affected their cases, and have directors review records by July 1.  CBS Colorado
