  • Louise Cutler curates the Inside Out Pop-Up Art Exhibit at Shops at Foothills that fills once-empty storefronts with work from 11 local artists. The exhibit opened April 24 and runs until June 30 — free tours invite community members to explore diverse artworks.  Colorado State University

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Colorado State University celebrated its longstanding Peace Corps legacy on April 22 by honoring nearly 2,000 graduates with a tribute garden near the Lory Student Center.   • CSU students and professors noted a growing interest in birdwatching among young people today as free digital apps simplify bird identification - making nature accessible and low-cost for local residents.  Colorado State University

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Weld County, Larimer County, and Johnstown partnered on a $14 million roundabout upgrade for the busy intersection north of Johnstown to improve safety and ease congestion for 7,500 daily vehicles. Construction is expected to begin in 2027 (with funding from local, state, and federal sources).  North Forty News
  • On March 31, the U.S. Forest Service announced a major consolidation that closed nearly 60 research organizations and moved headquarters from Washington DC to Salt Lake City. A new service center will open in Fort Collins as 500 employees transfer under the reorganization, raising local concerns about forest management.  Colorado State University
