Good morning, Fort Collins.

Last week, Fort Collins Police Services responded to 1,670 calls and made 114 arrests for crimes including package theft, business break-ins, and unauthorized occupancy—officers booked suspects for porch piracy, linked two business thefts to one individual, and noted evidence of squatters at an abandoned trailer unit while urging community groups to discuss crime prevention strategies.

A group of Fort Collins residents was chosen by lottery to represent different views on how to use the former Hughes Stadium site — advocates call the process experimental and democratic.

The debate will guide future decisions on the land.

The Larimer County Assessor’s Office has mailed 2025 reappraisal notices to local property owners, showing home values shifting between a 6% drop and a 6% rise and a 47% increase for manufactured housing.

Homeowners can file appeals on property details until June 9—using a new model report and Value Change Heat Map to review neighborhood changes.
