EDUCATION NEWS

  • At its final session, the ASCSU senate voted to form a Colorado higher education coalition, set aside $3,500 for graduate exam materials, and approved a $3,106 wage increase for administrative student workers for fiscal year 2026—though an effort to override the president’s veto did not succeed. They also passed measures for additional funding and policy changes before the 55th senate meets next semester.  Colorado State University

  • The state legislature is on the verge of passing a bill that will upend the 80-year-old Colorado Labor Peace Act which has governed labor relations in the state for decades.  CBS Colorado
  • The City of Fort Collins and BNSF Railway will replace the railroad crossing on West Prospect Road near South College Avenue from Tuesday, June 3 through Thursday, June 5 weather permitting, which will fully close the road to all traffic.
