  • The Sedona Hills Fire, accidentally sparked by residential work near Carter Lake around 3 p.m. Monday, burned 12.2 acres before firefighters using ground and air support contained it without injuring residents or damaging homes.  North Forty News
  • A Northern Colorado man was bitten by a rattlesnake during a Mother's Day family hike west of Fort Collins and is receiving treatment—he says he is lucky to be alive.  CBS Colorado

  • Fort Collins High School held dress and technical rehearsals for its production of 'The Wizard of Oz' on April 3 and 10, showcasing a tap dancing Tin Man, creative set designs, and a hydraulic stage effect for the Wicked Witch.   • At Berthoud High School, Kylie Gibbs won Larimer County’s 'I voted' sticker contest & her design featuring iconic Colorado symbols will be mailed with ballots to more than 275,000 registered voters for the November election. Community members cast nearly 2,500 votes to select her winning design.  The Coloradoan
  • Larimer County has banned all woodburning fires in unincorporated areas until May 26 — a measure enforced alongside separate Fort Collins and U.S. Forest Service Stage 1 rules to reduce wildfire risk amid warmer weather. Violators may face fines or jail time.  The Coloradoan
