- ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife killed a gray wolf (that repeatedly attacked local livestock) after receiving reports from ranchers. The agency said the decision was very difficult and it will review measures to protect herds. CBS Colorado
- ➤ On Monday, June 2nd, the City of Fort Collins will remove 11 mature ash trees near Dutch Bros Coffee on West Elizabeth Street due to a confirmed Emerald Ash Borer infestation. Dutch Bros Coffee will close for the day during removal — the city is set to replant the area with more diverse tree species to strengthen the urban canopy. North Forty News
- ➤ Rocky Mountain National Park's Trail Ridge Road has opened for the summer season — giving visitors a scenic route through high mountain terrain as officials confirm the road is ready for travel. CBS Colorado
