Good morning, Fort Collins.

Yesterday in Fort Collins, the event 'Ollie's Ride for Change' saw children, families, and police join a bike parade to demand safer roads—bikes were decorated and a pledge board recorded safety promises.

Photos from the parade show community efforts to push for road safety.

Community members gathered June 7 at Colorado State University for Ollie's Ride for Change to honor 10-year-old Oliver Stratton and other victims of distracted driving while calling for safer roads; the family-friendly event featured a Pokemon-themed bike parade & a memorial and advocacy tent.

CSU and Pivot Energy are building a new 5.75 megawatt solar array in Weld County that will send excess energy credits to Xcel Energy, which will roughly double renewable energy for the Foothills Campus.

Construction will start late 2025 or early 2026 and finish by late 2026 — a key step toward CSU reaching its goal of 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
