- ➤ On Sunday, June 15, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Fort Collins police responded to an argument on the 700 block of Eastdale Dr. where a male suspect armed with a knife refused to follow commands and was shot by an officer after less lethal methods failed—he was taken into custody and sent to a local hospital while no officers or members of the public were injured and the Critical Incident Response Team was activated. - ➤ Fort Collins is beginning summer road construction with many closures starting in mid-June; southbound Timberline Road will be closed June 16-20, northbound Timberline Road June 23-27, and Trilby Road will close at U.S. 287 on July 7 until spring for intersection reconstruction.
