  • A young woman was rescued from Horsetooth Reservoir on July 10 after a sudden wind gust separated her from her paddleboard and nearly drowned her; emergency responders from Poudre Fire Authority and Larimer County Rangers saved her near the Sunset Picnic Area.  North Forty News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Larimer County began mailing 2024 delinquent property tax notices this week for taxes due in 2025. The treasurer warned that even payments made after July 10 may trigger a notice—interest has been accruing since spring on missed or partial payments, and a Tax Lien Sale is set for November 20.  North Forty News

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Residents can choose from five dog-friendly trails in or near Fort Collins that offer hikes ranging from short loops to longer routes with water stops—some trails require a fee. Owners must keep dogs leashed and remain alert for rattlesnakes.  The Coloradoan
