  • Katie Bergman, a creative writing teacher at Aurora Central High School, said that teachers can save money on supplies by checking what can be reused from last year and shopping at stores like Walmart and Amazon (which often offer lower prices) after paying out of pocket.   • Fort Collins pilot Rick Turley volunteered his Cessna 182 for a nonprofit that supports land, water, and wildfire conservation and paid his own fuel and maintenance costs.   • Fort Collins voters will cast ballots on November 4 for mayor and City Council seats using ranked-choice voting — the mayor’s race has seven candidates while Districts 1, 3 and 5 together feature multiple contests.   • CDOT and Governor Jared Polis recently celebrated 10 years of Bustang—an interregional bus service that connected over 2 million riders and expanded routes in Northern Colorado with three new mobility hubs and 25 new buses added this year.
