Good morning, Fort Collins.

A wildfire early Tuesday in the 8700 block of West Highway 14 near Greyrock Trailhead destroyed one home and left one person dead while crews from the Poudre Canyon Fire Protection District plus other agencies contained the blaze before sunrise as Larimer County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident.

Fort Collins Police Services posted information online yesterday about a released Sexually Violent Predator per Colorado Revised Statutes 16-13-901 through 16-13-905—alerting residents to the offender’s status, while cautioning that the mature content should not be viewed by children.

Larimer County's Horsetooth Reservoir is starting a FLAP-funded $15 million upgrade to repave access roads and improve parking areas while keeping the reservoir open during construction.

The multi-phase project—co-managed with the Central Federal Lands Highway Division—is expected to finish by 2027 and serves over 1.5 million annual visitors.
