  • A suspected impaired driver—accused of DUI and speeding over 100 mph—drove wrong way into oncoming traffic lanes in Northern Colorado, state patrol reported.  CBS Colorado
  • Nelson Oldham, 36, was charged with impaired driving after he drove his Mercedes over 100 mph into oncoming traffic on I-25 around Fort Collins—he drove in both northbound and southbound lanes.  CBS Colorado

EDUCATION NEWS

  • U.S. News & World Report ranked Colorado’s top 10 public high schools based on graduation rates and AP scores, naming D'Evelyn High School as the best and only school in the top 100—Fort Collins' Liberty Common Charter School is also on the list.  The Coloradoan

HEALTH NEWS

  • A woman in her early 30s from Northern Colorado credited a UCHealth thrombectomy at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland for saving her life after a major stroke. The procedure — which removes dangerous blood clots from the brain — now offers faster and closer treatment than when patients had to travel to Denver before 2023.  CBS Colorado

  • CSU soccer won 1—0 against UTSA on Thursday when forward Olivia Fout scored an early goal in a rain-soaked match that caused slips and saw officials issue two yellow cards per team. The Rams remain undefeated at 4—0 and will host Northern Colorado on Sept. 4th.  Colorado State University
