RCVFD warns that false automated 911 alerts from cell phones and vehicles send responders to nonemergencies, so call 911 to cancel mistaken alerts when safe.
The department will host its Mountain Festival (Sept. 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at 11835 Rist Canyon Road to demonstrate safety practices.

A new two-story mixed-use project is under construction on East Mountain Avenue in Old Town.

Tuesday night the CSU volleyball team broke a seven-year losing streak against Northern Colorado at Moby Arena by winning 3-1.
Led by freshman Ella Stowell with 16 kills, the Rams will now prepare for a road game against No. 19 North Carolina Tar Heels.
