- ➤ FoCo Cafe — a nonprofit restaurant in downtown that offers meals in exchange for donations or chores — has been serving community members with locally sourced food since 2014. The cafe raised nearly $60,000 of its $100,000 goal as of Sept. 3 and relies on volunteers to help meet daily needs for those facing financial hardship. Colorado State University
- ➤ On Sept. 11, community members and first responders gathered at Canvas Stadium for the Northern Colorado 9/11 Memorial and Stair Climb to honor lives lost by walking four laps—equaling 2,071 steps and 110 stories climbed by World Trade Center responders. A UCHealth helicopter and an Army Black Hawk chopper flew low over the stadium as local officials observed the tribute, and the event will return in 2026. Colorado State University
