  • The Colorado Symphony opens its season this weekend — Peter Oundjian, the new music director, said the orchestra performed Respighi’s Pines of Rome on Friday night and will hold another concert tonight and a performance on Sunday at Boettcher Concert Hall.   • Colorado's fall color season is underway as Dan West from the State Forest Service said northern areas will show peak aspen colors from today through Sept. 27 while central and southern regions peak later.   • A new state task force will convene this fall to study funding alternatives for water projects and energy grants as severance tax revenues decline.
