CULTURE NEWS

  • Local restaurant Ginger and Baker held a cooking class based on The Great British Bake Off on Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at its teaching kitchen where participants prepared a dark chocolate raspberry cake, pear tarte tatin, and cheese and chive scone using fresh local produce—chef Zach Heller guided them with recipe tips and kitchen safety instructions.  Colorado State University

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Colorado State University students join the Ghana Community Engagement Project during winter break to learn from local traditions through song, dance, market visits and historical sites that reveal the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade—led by Professor Caridad Souza. The three-week program builds transnational relationships and deepens cultural understanding.  Colorado State University
  • The Associated Students of CSU held their fifth Senate session on Sept 17 and confirmed the Omnibus Lex of the 54th Senate while reviewing amendments to the BSOF composition and proposals for new executive intern and seed grant bills. Director of Basic Needs announced that the C.A.N.S initiative started Sept 15 and that the Rams Against Hunger food drive will hold Collection Day on Oct 15 — providing students with essential support.  Colorado State University
  • CSU Political Review partnered with National Ground Game to host Unfuck America debates on Sept. 18 at the Lory Student Center after cancelling a scheduled debate with Charlie Kirk following his death on Sept. 10—political influencer Destiny faced a heated crowd during the Q&A as around 450 CSU students and local residents joined the discussions on free speech and political violence. The debates allowed various creators to share their views while preserving the club's goal of peaceful, constructive political dialogue.  Colorado State University

  • Walker Himebauch, the long snapper for the CSU Rams, returned from Kentucky to play for Colorado State so he can be near his family and teammates—most of whom are from Colorado.
