CSU football lost 20—3 to Washington State on Saturday because the offense played poorly and key players were hurt.

Coach Jay Norvell said he will work with the team next week to fix mistakes and help the players recover.

The Colorado State volleyball team beat Nevada three to zero (25 to 21, 25 to 21, 25 to 13) on Saturday in a strong home win after a loss to Wyoming.

The team celebrated its 50th anniversary and will travel to Albuquerque to face New Mexico on Oct. 2.

Colorado State football played against Washington State yesterday with new starting quarterback Jackson Brousseau leading the team — the Rams scored first on a 50-yard field goal by Isaiah Hankins before Washington State took an early lead with a touchdown pass from Zevi Eckhaus.

At the fourth annual Canvas Community Classic on Friday night, Fossil Ridge and Fort Collins high schools played a close game where FCHS won 28-21 following a key pick-six by senior Kaden Souders—while Wellington beat Timnath 27-15 in a spirited matchup.

The event continues to grow and strengthen Northern Colorado’s football tradition.
