  • On Sept. 28, New Belgium Brewing partnered with Poudre River Friends of the Library to host a sustainable book swap at the brewery that offered free Fat Tire beer and encouraged the exchange of used items. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A sheriff said that new speed cameras are made to generate money — a Northern Colorado police chief said they are meant to catch speeding drivers. Colorado will expand access to the cameras soon.  CBS Colorado
  • Starting this fall, Windsor will install four red-light cameras at the intersection of 7th Street and Main Street in partnership with Verra Mobility to capture images, a 12-second video, and data from vehicles that run a red light—drivers will be fined $75 after police review.  The Coloradoan
  • Estes Park Mayor Gary Hall expressed concern today that the federal government shutdown is limiting staffed services at Rocky Mountain National Park and may reduce fall tourism, which local businesses rely on for jobs—business owners fear prolonged uncertainty could hurt revenue and lead to layoffs.  CBS Colorado
