- ➤ The public is invited to the Art in Public Places 30th Anniversary Celebration on November 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Center for Creativity—attendees will enjoy a social hour, a welcome presentation, lightning talks by local artists, and a special Denver Projection Mapping display on the Historic Carnegie Library. - ➤ Artist Sidian Liu will speak at The Lincoln Center on Friday, November 14 with an Artist Reception in the Art Gallery from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and an artist talk in the Columbine Room from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. as part of her exhibit The Conch Girl, on view through December 19. - ➤ In the November 4 election, incumbent Alexandra Lessem won reelection in District E and Lori Goebel won the District F seat to join unopposed candidate Mike Scholl on the Thompson school board—voters also approved a $99 million bond measure for building repairs and school security improvements. - ➤ On November 5, the Associated Students of CSU held a senate session where students and Fort Collins community members supported Resolution #5519, which calls on the university to restore transparency in its free speech policy—concerns over campus safety and basic needs were raised before the resolution passed by voice vote. - ➤ Results from the Poudre, Thompson and Weld RE-4 school board races have stayed steady since Nov 4, with Karla Baise and Coronda Ziegler leading in Poudre while incumbent Raymond Ruth leads in Weld RE-4.
