- ➤ On Nov. 7, Fort Collins residents and CSU students gathered in Old Town Square for the Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony where city leaders switched on energy-saving LED lights for 22 blocks—organized with the Downtown Development Authority and sponsored by Fort Collins Connexion. The lights will remain on through Valentine’s Day while live music and festive mascots added to the community celebration. Colorado State University

- ➤ ACT Human Rights Film Festival held a screening of 'Red Fever' at The Lyric on November 3—drawing a sold-out crowd that enjoyed Native music and a panel discussion on the film’s exploration of Indigenous influence on modern life. The film by Neil Diamond and Catherine Bainbridge looked at how Native culture affects fashion, sports, and government. Colorado State University

- ➤ Colorado State University’s 25th annual Symposium on higher education ran from Nov. 3 to Nov. 6 and featured hybrid lectures and workshops on access, student success and community action — the event allowed both in-person and virtual participation. Keynote speakers, including President Amy Parsons and former Peace Corps director Carol Spahn, discussed the impact of leadership and human connections. Colorado State University

- ➤ The Timnath High girls’ cross country team won back-to-back state championships on November 1 at the Norris Penrose Event Center — they beat Battle Mountain with a team score of 107 and four returning runners leading the win. North Forty News
- ➤ On November 8, CSU held RailJam during Snow Days and drew 47 competitors plus hundreds of spectators as man-made snow turned campus spaces into a rail course. Riley Combe won the women’s section and Cody Hundhausen claimed the men’s title — CSU Snowriders and Associated Students partnered with sponsors to build and maintain the challenging course. - ➤ CSU men's basketball beat Omaha by a score of 97 to 74 on Nov. 9 as Kyle Jorgensen led with nine rebounds, smooth post moves, and seven free throws—showing the team’s balance and depth. The Rams now prepare for their next game against Cal Poly. Colorado State University
- ➤ CSU women's basketball outscored LBSU 73-34 on Sunday after building a 24-4 lead in the first quarter, with Lexus Bargesser scoring 17 points to boost a confident start to their 2-0 season.
