- ➤ Poudre Fire Authority responded early Wednesday morning to a quarter-acre brush fire along the Poudre River Trail near Vine Drive and College Avenue in Fort Collins and contained the flames by 5:50 a.m.—using a second-alarm response that brought in additional units—and reminded residents to be cautious due to ongoing dry fall conditions. - ➤ On Sept. 26 at 10:44 p.m., CSU Police reported that a Black Lives Matter mural at the Visual Arts Building was vandalized when paint was splattered over its yellow backdrop—charges of theft, criminal mischief and desecration were logged as the investigation remains open. - ➤ Fort Collins will close the Fossil Creek Trail between Trilby Road and Carpenter Road from Tuesday, Nov. 18 until March 31 for stream rehabilitation along Stanton Creek (affecting the Stanton Creek and Greenstone neighborhoods).
