About this event

French Countryside: Rustic Elegance from the Kitchen

Imagine a cozy evening in a French country kitchen, where fresh herbs perfume the air, seasonal ingredients take center stage, and a thoughtfully prepared meal brings everyone to the table.

In this hands-on Farm Fusion cooking class, we’ll celebrate the warmth and simplicity of French countryside cooking with a menu that balances rich, savory flavors with fresh, seasonal touches and a classic French dessert.

You’ll learn how to pan-sear pork chops to create a beautiful golden crust, then baste them with butter, garlic, and fresh rosemary for a tender, flavorful finish. We’ll prepare a creamy butternut squash risotto, building its signature texture through a gradual addition of warm broth and finishing touches that bring everything together.

To balance the richness of the meal, we’ll create a crisp frisée and apple salad tossed in a tangy Dijon vinaigrette. Then we’ll finish on a sweet note with individual Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, discovering the simple techniques behind this impressive yet approachable French dessert.

Whether you’re looking to expand your cooking skills, enjoy a memorable evening out, or simply bring a little French countryside charm into your own kitchen, this class is an invitation to slow down, cook with intention, and savor every bite.

On the menu:

• Rosemary & Butter-Basted Pork Chops — Golden, pan-seared pork chops finished with garlic, fresh rosemary, and a rich butter baste.

• Butternut Squash Risotto — Creamy Arborio rice with sweet roasted squash, Parmesan, and a touch of fresh herbs.

• Frisée & Apple Salad — Delicate greens, crisp apples, and a bright Dijon vinaigrette for a refreshing contrast.

• V anilla Bean Crème Brûlée

Come hungry, leave inspired, and take home techniques you’ll be excited to use again.
