- ➤ Fort Collins Police Services leads the investigation after the Critical Incident Response Team was activated at Larimer County Jail when a deputy found a 44-year-old inmate unresponsive in his locked cell on March 24 at 6:15 p.m.—jail staff administered first aid and transported him to a local hospital with serious injuries. - ➤ David Thompson, 47, pleaded guilty Tuesday morning before Judge Stephen Jouard at the Larimer County Justice Center in Fort Collins to two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals from a 2022 Wellington attack that killed one dog and injured another — a class 6 felony. Loveland Reporter-Herald

- ➤ Larimer County will open the 1,847-acre Chimney Hollow Open Space in 2027, 5 miles southwest of Loveland, offering hiking, boating, swimming, and day-use amenities around Chimney Hollow Reservoir.
