- ➤ Chimney Hollow dam near Loveland is nearly finished as crews topped off its 350 foot dam and paved a closed roadway on top. Northern Water found high uranium in the dam’s rocks and will decide whether to treat or dilute the water before filling the reservoir in two months — a decision that may delay sending water downstream by six months to multiple years.
