EDUCATION NEWS

  • Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, died on Sept. 11 and his death led to strong reactions in Fort Collins as CSU canceled his talk set for Sept. 18. A CSU campus vigil at Canvas Stadium from 5:30—6:30 p.m. drew about 7,400 people as students debated free speech with provocative signs.  Colorado State University

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • After multiple water main breaks on Lemay Avenue, Fort Collins Utilities is beginning design work for a future water main replacement, and partial lane closures are planned from September 24 to October 10—between Horsetooth and Harmony roads—to allow potholing that will locate underground utilities.
